I love the history of photography and it inspires me everyday as I try and find my own voice. l first started studying photography at Clark College in Vancouver, WA with Professor Roger Baker. I met Master BW Photographer Shedrich Williames in Portland, OR who inspired me to become an artist. I became a founding member of the Inner Light Photo Society in 1986. I was also a member of the Portland Photographers Forum.

I’ve been working on “Personal Projects” for well over 40 years now, with many one man shows and group shows. For the last 20 years I’ve been involved in Fine Art BW Portraiture, I can’t believe how exciting it’s been.

I am currently in the process of publishing my first BW book.

From classic black and white to manipulated imagery, from alternative processes to the latest in digital imaging, Inner Light photographers work in a wide range of photographic styles and media. Resonating through various environments and time-scapes, this exhibit focuses on music, dance, vibrancy, tonality, and the metaphysical. About Inner Light

Like darkroom magic, our group developed after a dozen college age photography students were exposed to the light of inspiration from master photographer Shedrich Williames, summer of 1986. We learned to Talk to the Sun in an outdoor workshop led by Shedrich. Our gear included B/W film cameras, tripods, and light meters. We learned to previsualize a composition, to see a range of light and shadow before clicking the shutter. After the workshop we gathered for a critique and conversation with Shedrich. With great enthusiasm we decided to continue to meet, discuss our photography, and put together a group show. Thirty-five years later we are like family. We have photo-savvy kids who have grown up in our creative midst. Monthly meetings and occasional group photo outings add to the richness of our shared experience and personal vision as artists.
