Janelle R. Lee

Longtime Member – Inner Light Photographic Society

Artist Statement:

As far back as I can remember I have been using a camera and photographs to communicate with people. What I communicate can be as basic as Look! Isn’t this pretty, cool, awesome, interesting, etc. When I was younger, I used to go back country hiking.  When I am hiking, I will alternate between looking at my feet, to make sure I am not going to trip over something and looking up to see the scenery. It’s always been an interesting tug of war between how much time one should be looking at their feet and how much time one should be looking up at what’s going on around them. Sometimes, I think we all need to be reminded to look up from our feet so that we don’t miss something pretty, cool, awesome, interesting, etc.
